MARIANNA, Fla. (Interstat) — The Chipola Indians defeated the Pensacola State Pirates 71-59 in a men’s junior college basketball game Saturday.

Chipola used a strong first half to secure the home victory, taking a 71-59 final. The Indians led 37-27 after the first quarter and maintained a 71-59 advantage by halftime. The win improved Chipola’s overall record to 19-6, while Pensacola State fell to 12-11. The teams split their two regular-season meetings, with each winning on its home court. Chipola next plays at Gulf Coast State on Wednesday. Pensacola State hosts Tallahassee State that same night.
