Coffeyville vs Colby

Preview: Coffeyville at Colby Men’s Basketball

COLBY, Kan. (Interstat) — The Coffeyville Ravens, riding a three-game winning streak, will look to continue their push toward a winning season when they visit the struggling Colby Trojans on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026.

The men’s junior college basketball matchup at the Colby Event Center pits teams on opposite trajectories. Coffeyville (15-8) enters with momentum after a 79-68 victory over Cloud County on Wednesday. Colby (3-18) seeks to end a five-game skid, most recently a 90-70 loss at Cloud County on Feb. 7.

The Ravens have dominated the recent series, handily defeating Colby 93-68 just two months ago on Dec. 13. Coffeyville’s success has been fueled by balanced contributions. In the win over Cloud County, Rashid Kuta posted 14 points and eight rebounds, Daniel Ntambwe added 12 points and eight rebounds, and Jack Sorrell chipped in 12 points and six assists.

Kuta, a key player to watch for Coffeyville, provides consistent interior presence. For Colby, guard Aliou Diallo has been a bright spot during the difficult season. Diallo is coming off a 19-point, five-assist performance against Cloud County and has scored 16 or more points in four of his last six outings.

Colby’s last victory was a 74-69 win over Seward County on Jan. 25, a game in which Diallo scored 19 points. The Trojans will need a similar performance from him and efficient support from teammates like D.J. Cason, who scored 20 points in the last outing, to challenge the surging Ravens.

Coffeyville’s current streak includes wins over Dodge City, Cowley, and Cloud County by an average margin of 14 points. Colby has faced several of those same opponents closely, including a nine-point loss to Dodge City and a 17-point loss at Cowley.

Following this contest, Colby travels to Hutchinson on Wednesday, Feb. 18. Coffeyville’s next game is at home against Hutchinson on Saturday, Feb. 21.

Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the Colby Event Center.
