Florida Southwestern State vs Eastern Florida State
Preview: Florida Southwestern State at Eastern Florida State
MELBOURNE, Fla. (Interstat) — A key men’s junior college basketball matchup in the Florida College System Activities Conference will unfold Saturday when the Eastern Florida State Titans host the Florida Southwestern State Buccaneers.
The game, set for Feb. 14, 2026, at Titan Field House, features two of the state’s top teams. The visiting Buccaneers (16-4) hold a narrow lead in the standings over the Titans (15-6) and will look to complete a regular-season sweep.
Florida Southwestern State won the first meeting decisively, 97-82, on Jan. 14 in Fort Myers. Since that loss, Eastern Florida State has won five of its last six games.
The Titans are led by Sean Register Jr., who is coming off a dominant performance in an 80-67 win over Santa Fe on Wednesday. Register Jr. scored 30 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished three assists and blocked five shots. His all-around play will be central to the Titans’ hopes of avenging their earlier loss.
For the Buccaneers, Stephen Okoro is a player to watch. Florida Southwestern State has been on a tear, winning nine of its last ten games, including a 63-51 road victory at Hillsborough on Wednesday. While Okoro saw limited action in that contest, the Buccaneers’ depth has been evident during their run.
Both teams boast high-powered offenses, setting the stage for a potential shootout. Eastern Florida State will need to find an answer defensively after allowing 97 points in the January matchup. A Titans victory would tighten the conference race significantly, while a Buccaneers win would solidify their position atop the standings and provide a crucial tiebreaker.
The game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. EST tipoff.
