Bishop State vs Wallace State
Preview: Bishop State Wildcats at Wallace State Lions
HANCEVILLE, Ala. (Interstat) — A tight conference rematch is set for Thursday when the Bishop State Wildcats visit the Wallace State Lions in a men’s junior college basketball game.
The Lions (10-9) edged the Wildcats (7-11) 84-83 in overtime on Jan. 15 in their previous meeting, a result that adds immediate stakes to the contest. Wallace State’s Jaeden Rush scored 23 points in the team’s most recent outing, a 101-80 loss to Shelton State on Feb. 9, and will be a primary focus for the Bishop State defense.
Bishop State, however, enters on a four-game winning streak, its longest of the season. This surge includes a 92-61 victory over Calhoun on Feb. 5. While the Wildcats have found a rhythm, player to watch Jason Noumbissi has seen limited recent action, logging just one minute in each of the last two contests. He played nine minutes and scored four points in the first matchup against Wallace State.
Wallace State has been inconsistent, alternating wins and losses in its last five games. The Lions will look to leverage their home court advantage and the scoring of Rush to counter Bishop State’s improved form. The Wildcats, meanwhile, aim to avenge their narrow January defeat and continue their climb in the conference standings.
The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at Wallace State Community College.
