COCHRAN, Ga. (Interstat) — Two Georgia junior college men’s basketball teams seeking momentum will meet Wednesday when the Albany Tech Titans visit the Andrew Fighting Tigers.

The non-conference matchup at the Hord Student Center pits Albany Tech (5-9) against Andrew (2-8). Both teams are coming off losses in their most recent outings this past Saturday.

Albany Tech fell 70-65 at Central Georgia on Jan. 28 but responded with an 85-75 home victory over Gordon State on Feb. 7. The Titans have relied heavily on forward Brennan Wansley, who is averaging 18.2 points over his last five games. He scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the win over Gordon State. Tyler Husband added 24 points and seven assists in that contest.

Andrew has struggled, losing four straight since a Jan. 17 win over Georgia Highlands. The Fighting Tigers fell 81-68 at Southern Crescent on Feb. 7. Guard Koby Johnson led Andrew in the loss with 17 points and seven rebounds.

The teams last met on Jan. 7 in Albany, where the Titans dominated in an 88-51 victory. Wansley was a key contributor in that win.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Wednesday’s contest is projected to be a tightly fought affair, ending in a 100-100 draw.
