RALEIGH, N.C. (Interstat) — Richard Bland defeated Wake Tech 63-60 in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday night. Both teams share the Eagles nickname.

Richard Bland led 26-31 after a high-scoring first quarter and maintained a narrow 63-60 advantage by halftime. The second half evolved into a defensive struggle, with neither team scoring after the break as both offenses stalled completely.

The result avenged a double-overtime loss for Richard Bland against Wake Tech on Dec. 3. Richard Bland improved to 3-8 overall, while Wake Tech fell to 5-7. Aleksandar Bihler, Andy Ramirez and Dove Fishburne were key performers for the victors.

Richard Bland visits Gaston on Saturday. Wake Tech travels to face Caldwell Tech the same day.
