Richard J Daley vs Triton
Trojans Host Bulldogs in Junior College Men’s Basketball Clash
RIVER GROVE, Ill. (Interstat) — The Triton College Trojans look to get back to .500 when they host the struggling Richard J. Daley College Bulldogs in a men’s junior college basketball game Tuesday night.
Triton (8-8) enters the contest seeking consistency after a narrow 85-84 road loss to Kennedy-King on Jan. 20. The Trojans have alternated wins and losses over their last six games.
Richard J. Daley (2-11) is coming off a rare victory, a 68-67 home win over Olive-Harvey on Jan. 22 that snapped a three-game skid. The Bulldogs’ only other win this season was a 74-73 road victory at Kennedy-King on Jan. 13.
A key player to watch for Triton is forward Terez Holmes, who is coming off a dominant performance despite the loss last week. Holmes recorded 14 points and 12 rebounds in just one minute of play against Kennedy-King, according to available statistics. In his previous three games, he has averaged a double-double, including a 15-rebound effort in a win over Highland (Ill.) on Jan. 7.
The Bulldogs will aim to contain Holmes and find more offensive production beyond their recent one-point win. Their season has been marked by defensive struggles, conceding an average of 76.2 points per game.
This matchup is a rematch from Nov. 11, 2025, when Triton handled Richard J. Daley 79-59 on the road. The Trojans have won three of their last five games at home.
Following this game, Triton travels to face Highland (Ill.) on Thursday. Richard J. Daley continues its road stretch at Wilbur Wright on Jan. 29.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Central time at the Triton College Gymnasium.
