Kankakee vs Richard J Daley
Preview: Kankakee Cavaliers at Richard J Daley Bulldogs
CHICAGO (Interstat) — The Richard J Daley Bulldogs will seek to end a prolonged slump and avenge an early-season loss when they host the Kankakee Cavaliers in a men’s junior college basketball game Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs (1-10) enter on a nine-game losing streak, with their lone victory this season coming against Kennedy-King on Jan. 13. Their most recent outing was a narrow 86-85 road loss to Highland (Ill.) on Jan. 10, a game in which guard Octavius Parker erupted for 32 points and seven assists. Parker will be the primary offensive focus for a Daley team averaging just 68.5 points per game.
Conversely, the visiting Cavaliers (6-5) have found a rhythm, winning three of their last four contests. They are coming off a 76-60 road win at Kennedy-King on Saturday. Forward Ricardo Corvil led the way in that victory with 14 points and seven rebounds, continuing his consistent play. Rashad Fenner added 12 points and Santana Flowers posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The previous meeting between these teams on Dec. 4 was one-sided, with Kankakee securing an 85-64 home win. In that game, the Cavaliers’ defense stifled Daley, holding them to 35% shooting from the field.
For Daley to reverse that result, they will need a high-scoring performance from Parker and must improve defensively after allowing opponents to score 78.5 points per game. Kankakee, which averages 79.5 points, will look to exploit that defense through a balanced attack led by Corvil and capitalize on transition opportunities.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Central time on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, at the Richard J Daley College gymnasium.
