Folsom Lake vs Santa Rosa

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Interstat) — A surging Santa Rosa men’s basketball team will look to extend its dominance against a struggling Folsom Lake squad when the Bear Cubs host the Falcons in a California Community College matchup Tuesday night.

Santa Rosa (11-2) enters on a four-game winning streak, most recently an 86-73 road victory over Diablo Valley last Friday. The Bear Cubs have been powered by standout guard Travis Hightower, who is averaging 23 points and 7.3 rebounds over his last four contests. He scored 27 points with nine rebounds in the win over Diablo Valley.

In contrast, Folsom Lake (4-10) has lost three straight, including a 74-64 home defeat to Cosumnes River last Friday. The Falcons have struggled to find consistent offense, having been held under 70 points in seven of their ten losses this season. Their defense will be tested by a Santa Rosa offense that has scored 80 or more points in eight games.

The teams’ recent trajectories paint a clear picture. Santa Rosa’s only two losses came by a combined nine points, while Folsom Lake has suffered several lopsided defeats, including a 91-67 loss to Las Positas and a 79-40 loss to Foothill in December.

This game opens the conference schedule for both teams. Santa Rosa will aim to establish an early foothold in the title race, while Folsom Lake seeks a reset to turn its season around. The Falcons will need a significant defensive effort to contain Hightower and slow down the high-scoring Bear Cubs.

Tip-off is set for Tuesday night at Santa Rosa Junior College.
