COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho (Interstat) — Isaac Castagnetto scored 25 points to lead Utah State Eastern to a 76-71 men’s junior college basketball victory over North Idaho on Thursday night. The Eagles improved to 14-3 overall, while the Cardinal fell to 8-7.

Utah State Eastern built a 49-34 halftime lead but withstood a second-half push from North Idaho, which was led by Aly Toure’s 20 points and 15 rebounds. The Eagles secured the win at the free-throw line, making 25 of 34 attempts compared to North Idaho’s 19 of 37. Utah State Eastern also forced 20 turnovers, offsetting a 44-21 rebounding deficit.
