Wabash Valley vs Lincoln Trail

Warriors, Statesmen Set for Saturday Clash

ROBINSON, Ill. (Interstat) — The Lincoln Trail Statesmen host the Wabash Valley Warriors in a men’s junior college basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, with both teams seeking momentum early in the new year.

Lincoln Trail (2-3) enters with a significant gap since its last outing, a 83-73 home victory over Lake Land on Dec. 10, 2025. The Statesmen’s season has been marked by volatility, including a 107-98 shootout loss to Olive-Harvey and a 33-point road defeat to national power Indian Hills.

Wabash Valley (3-9) looks to snap a four-game skid, most recently falling 77-66 at Southwestern Illinois on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled offensively during the losing streak, failing to reach 70 points in any of the four contests.

A player to watch for the Warriors is guard DeMario Spear, who led the team with 13 points, five rebounds and two assists in the loss to Southwestern Illinois. Forward Khore Furlow added 11 points and nine rebounds in that game, while Mohamed Diaby controlled the paint with nine rebounds and two blocks.

Lincoln Trail’s production in its last game was spread among Jaylen Ellis, Asher Evans and Jared Jackson, though specific statistics from that contest were not detailed in available reports.

Despite Wabash Valley’s record, the Interstat game simulator projects a high-scoring and even affair, predicting a 100-100 final score. The Warriors will need to improve an offense averaging just 63.2 points over their last five games to meet that projection.

This contest is the first of two regular-season meetings between the teams. They are scheduled to meet again at Wabash Valley on Saturday, Feb. 14.

For Lincoln Trail, the game begins a stretch of four out of five at home. The Statesmen visit Kaskaskia on Wednesday, Jan. 14. Wabash Valley continues a road-heavy early schedule before hosting Shawnee on Jan. 14.

Tip-off is set for Saturday at Lincoln Trail College.
