Murray State (Okla.) vs Seminole State (Okla.)
TISHOMINGO, Okla. (Interstat) — A surging Murray State (Okla.) Aggies squad will look to extend its winning streak against a Seminole State (Okla.) Trojans team coming off an overtime victory when the two meet in a men’s junior college basketball game Monday.
The Aggies (8-3) enter on a three-game win streak, their latest a narrow 63-62 road victory over Grayson on Dec. 11. Key contributors in that contest included Aymen Kraria (13 points, 7 rebounds) and Devon Maccollister (14 points, 5 rebounds). Murray State’s record reflects strong road form, with notable away wins over Cowley County and Ranger already this season.
Seminole State (3-4) halted a two-game skid with an 86-74 overtime triumph against Grayson on Dec. 8. The Trojans’ season has been marked by close contests, including a season-opening 96-93 win and a 10-point loss to Clarendon. Their performance at home will be tested against a confident Murray State lineup.
This matchup serves as the first of a home-and-home series between the Oklahoma junior colleges this season. They are scheduled to meet again at Murray State on Feb. 5.
The game tips off at 7 p.m. Monday in Tishomingo. For Murray State, it begins a crucial stretch of regional play. The Aggies visit Northern Oklahoma-Enid on Jan. 8. Seminole State faces a quick turnaround, traveling to face Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on Jan. 7.
While the Aggies boast the superior record, the Trojans have shown resilience, particularly in their most recent outing. The contest will likely hinge on whether Murray State’s momentum can overcome a Seminole State team seeking consistency and a winning record at home.
