El Camino vs Los Angeles Pierce
Preview: El Camino Warriors at Los Angeles Pierce Brahmas
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (Interstat) — The El Camino Warriors, riding a wave of momentum, will visit the Los Angeles Pierce Brahmas in a California community college men’s basketball matchup on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025.
El Camino (7-5) enters the contest fresh off a dominant 92-58 victory over Coalinga on Dec. 13. The Warriors have won two of their last three, showcasing a potent offense that has scored at least 92 points in three of their past five games. A key catalyst is guard Rocco Gaffoglio, who is coming off a 19-point performance in the win over Coalinga. Gaffoglio has been a consistent scorer, including a 21-point outing in a narrow loss to Los Angeles City College on Dec. 5.
The Pierce Brahmas (4-7) look to snap a five-game skid, their most recent a heartbreaking 82-79 home loss to Rio Hondo on Dec. 12. Despite the team’s struggles, forward Andrew Shackelford has been a bright spot, posting consecutive double-doubles. He recorded 22 points and 11 rebounds against Rio Hondo, following a 19-point, 11-rebound effort at Santa Monica. His defensive presence, with multiple blocks in four of his last five games, will be crucial against El Camino’s attack.
The game presents a contrast in recent fortunes. El Camino’s offense is averaging over 80 points per game during its recent stretch, while Pierce has faced defensive challenges, allowing an average of 81.2 points during its losing streak. The Warriors will aim to exploit that trend, while the Brahmas hope home court and Shackelford’s interior play can stabilize their defense and generate a much-needed win.
This non-conference tilt is the final game for both teams before the holiday break. El Camino’s next game is at Mount San Antonio on Jan. 2, 2026. Los Angeles Pierce has a quick turnaround, traveling to face Los Angeles Trade-Tech College on Saturday, Dec. 20.
Tipoff is scheduled for Friday night at Pierce College.
