San Diego Mesa vs MiraCosta

Preview: San Diego Mesa at MiraCosta in Men’s Junior College Basketball

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (Dec. 16, 2025) (Interstat) — Two teams seeking consistency will meet Wednesday when the San Diego Mesa Olympians visit the MiraCosta Spartans in a California community college men’s basketball matchup.

Both teams enter with identical 4-6 overall records, though their recent paths have diverged. The visiting Olympians are coming off a narrow 61-60 home victory over Los Angeles City on Friday. The Spartans, meanwhile, earned a gritty 58-56 road win at Orange Coast the same day.

A key matchup will feature San Diego Mesa’s Jacob Dallas against MiraCosta’s Travis Snider. Dallas, a consistent contributor, is averaging 11 points and 6.3 rebounds over his last three games. Snider provides a versatile threat for the Spartans, posting a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds in the win over Orange Coast and averaging 12 points and 10 rebounds over his past three contests.

San Diego Mesa has shown resilience, winning two of its last three games, including a 74-65 victory at Saddleback on Dec. 1. MiraCosta has split its last four games, with the victory over Orange Coast preceded by a 102-68 loss at Citrus on Nov. 18.

The Olympians’ schedule shows a heavy road presence early, with this game being their eighth away contest. The Spartans will look to defend their home court, where they are 2-1 this season, including a 74-71 win over Copper Mountain on Nov. 25.

Wednesday’s contest is the first of two regular-season meetings between the teams. They are scheduled to play again at San Diego Mesa on Monday, Jan. 26.

Tip-off is set for Wednesday, Dec. 17, at MiraCosta College. The game will not be televised.
