(Interstat) — Two struggling men’s junior college basketball teams will seek a rare win when the Porterville Pirates face the Solano Falcons on Thursday at the Monterey Bay Classic.

Porterville (0-6) enters winless after a 63-47 loss at El Camino on Nov. 26. Jermarcus Brown led the Pirates in that game with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Quentin Thomas added 12 points.

Solano (1-5) has dropped five straight since its lone victory, an 89-89 win over Sacramento City on Nov. 13. The Falcons are coming off a narrow 80-76 road loss to Diablo Valley on Nov. 25.

The neutral-site contest, organized by the California Community College Athletic Association, features two teams allowing an average of over 80 points per game this season. A Interstat game simulator projects a high-scoring 100-100 draw.

Both teams continue tournament play next week. Porterville hosts Antelope Valley on Dec. 12, while Solano hosts Canyons on Dec. 13.
