Santa Ana vs Cuyamaca

EL CAJON, Calif. (Interstat) — The undefeated Santa Ana Dons look to continue their dominant start when they visit the Cuyamaca Coyotes in a California men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday.

Santa Ana (8-0) has won every game by double digits this season, averaging 91.1 points per contest. The Dons are coming off a 96-81 road win over Rio Hondo on Nov. 21, led by Aaron De Santiago’s 23 points and Christian Jimenez’s near triple-double of 9 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists.

Cuyamaca (4-3) seeks to rebound from a 64-54 loss to Irvine Valley on Nov. 21, where Jordan Whitfield paced the Coyotes with 12 points. The Coyotes have shown resilience at home, with a 3-1 record in El Cajon.

This is a rematch of a Nov. 8 meeting, which Santa Ana won 84-70 at Cuyamaca. The Dons’ balanced attack and stout defense present a significant challenge for the Coyotes, who have struggled offensively at times, scoring 70 or fewer points in three of their losses.

Tipoff is set for Wednesday night. Santa Ana visits Los Angeles Harbor on Dec. 10, while Cuyamaca travels to Long Beach the same day.
