Harcum vs Brunswick

Harcum, Brunswick Set for Holiday Classic Showdown

BRUNSWICK, N.C. (Interstat) — Two of the nation’s top junior college men’s basketball programs will meet Saturday when the Harcum Bears face the Brunswick Dolphins in the 1OT Annual Holiday Classic at Brunswick Community College.

Tipoff is set for Dec. 13, 2025, in a matchup featuring teams with winning early-season records. Harcum enters at 4-1 overall, while Brunswick stands at 3-2.

The Bears are riding a three-game win streak, most recently an 88-59 rout of Baltimore City on Dec. 6. Guard Nico Pena led the way in that victory, scoring 16 points and dishing four assists in just 20 minutes. He will be a key player to watch for Harcum.

Brunswick looks to bounce back from a narrow 69-64 road loss to East Georgia State on Dec. 7. The Dolphins’ production has been inconsistent, but forward Ty Outlaw presents an intriguing challenge. He logged 17 minutes in a Nov. 16 win over East Georgia State, contributing six points, three rebounds and two blocks, though his role has been limited in the two most recent contests.

Harcum’s only loss was a lopsided 83-37 defeat at Vincennes on Nov. 8, but they have since averaged 84.3 points per game in their three consecutive wins. Brunswick has shown offensive firepower as well, scoring 100 points in a win over Harford on Nov. 23 and 82 in a victory over South Georgia Tech on Dec. 6.

The Interstat game simulator projects a dead-even contest, forecasting a 100-100 final score, suggesting a potential high-paced, offensive battle.

For Harcum, following this showcase, the schedule continues quickly with a home game against Caldwell Tech on Dec. 14. Brunswick will travel to face Polk State on Dec. 19 in its next outing.
