San Diego Mesa vs Saddleback

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. (Interstat) — The Saddleback College Bobcats, riding a three-game winning streak, will host the struggling San Diego Mesa Olympians in a men’s junior college basketball matchup on Monday.

Saddleback (4-2) enters the contest with momentum following an 86-71 road victory over Mount San Jacinto on Nov. 22. Christopher Williams led the Bobcats with 23 points and four assists, while Charlie Stallings added 20 points and six rebounds.

Conversely, San Diego Mesa (1-5) looks to snap a four-game skid. The Olympians fell 77-69 at Chaffey on Nov. 21 despite a strong performance from Michael Contreras, who scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Micah Gibbs added 15 points and two blocks in the loss.

The Bobcats have found success at home this season, boasting a 3-0 record in Mission Viejo. Their offense has been potent during the win streak, averaging 87 points per game.

The Olympians’ sole victory came on Nov. 7 against Los Angeles Valley. Their defense has been a concern, allowing an average of 77.8 points through their first six games.

General admission tickets for the game are $10. Parking is $5.

Following this game, Saddleback will host Los Angeles Trade Tech on Friday. San Diego Mesa returns home to face Los Angeles Pierce on Wednesday.
