Santa Fe vs Albany Tech

ALBANY, Ga. (Interstat) — The Albany Tech Titans will look to halt a two-game skid when they host the Santa Fe Saints in a non-conference men’s junior college basketball matchup on Saturday, December 13.

The Titans (2-4) are coming off a 93-81 home loss to Motlow State on Friday. Their season has been marked by inconsistency, with their two victories coming at home against Denmark Tech and in a narrow 92-91 win over Southern Union State.

Santa Fe (2-1) arrives with momentum after a 77-68 road victory at South Georgia State on Friday. The Saints have won two straight following a season-opening one-point loss at Tallahassee State.

A key player to watch for the Saints is Alex Nokes, who is coming off a strong all-around performance. In Friday’s win, he logged 24 minutes, contributing 6 points, 10 rebounds and a blocked shot. He will be supported by guards Palmer Walton (12 points, 3 assists) and Alex Pierre-Louis (15 points), who were also productive in the victory.

Despite the records, statistical projections favor the home team. Interstat’s ELO system gives Albany Tech a 55.9 percent probability of winning Saturday’s contest.

This game serves as a final non-conference tune-up for both squads before their respective conference schedules intensify in January. Following this contest, Santa Fe will host Tallahassee State on Tuesday, seeking redemption for its early-season loss. Albany Tech will hit the road to face Chipola on Wednesday.

Saturday’s tip-off at Albany Tech’s home court is set for 7:30 p.m. EST.
