SAN MARCOS, Calif. (Interstat) — A surging Fullerton College men’s basketball team, coming off a narrow victory, will travel to face Palomar College on Saturday in a non-conference California junior college matchup.

The Hornets (6-1) edged San Bernardino Valley 59-56 on Wednesday behind a 20-point performance from Jaqari Miles. Brayden Smith pulled down 11 rebounds in the win, which was Fullerton’s fourth straight. Their only loss this season came on the road against West Los Angeles.

The Palomar Comets (4-2) look to rebound on their home court after a heartbreaking 88-87 loss to West Los Angeles on Tuesday. Angel Ochoa led the Comets with 18 points and six rebounds in that contest, while Jaidyn Norman added 15 points and nine boards.

Fullerton’s offense has shown explosiveness, including a 116-113 double-overtime win over Citrus on Nov. 21. Palomar’s two losses have both been by single digits.

The game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29, at Palomar College. Following this contest, Fullerton will travel to face San Diego Miramar on Dec. 3, while Palomar is set to visit Santiago Canyon on Dec. 2.
