ORANGE, Calif. (Interstat) — An early-season battle of unbeaten streaks will highlight a California community college men’s basketball matchup on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, as the Santiago Canyon Hawks (4-0) host the Mount San Antonio Mounties (4-1).

The Mounties, coming off an 87-60 rout of Riverside on Nov. 19, have won four straight since a season-opening loss to Citrus. Guard Dayvon Gates leads the charge, scoring 17 points with 7 rebounds in the win over Riverside, while Jaidyn Simpson added 18 points.

Santiago Canyon remains perfect, last defeating Cerro Coso 76-50 on Nov. 15. In that contest, Ryan Weber poured in 21 points in just 20 minutes of play. The Hawks’ defense has been a cornerstone of their start, holding opponents to an average of 62.5 points during their four-game win streak.

The matchup pits Mount San Antonio’s high-scoring offense against a stout Santiago Canyon defense. The Mounties have averaged over 80 points per game during their winning streak. The Hawks will look to counter with a balanced attack, having three players score in double figures in their last outing.

Tipoff is scheduled for Wednesday at Santiago Canyon’s home court.
