SAN PABLO, Calif. (Interstat) — An early-season showdown between unbeaten Modesto and host Contra Costa will highlight the California men’s junior college basketball schedule on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025.

The Modesto Pirates (5-0) have been dominant, winning each of their games by double digits. They are coming off a 77-58 victory over Canada College on Friday. Their offense has been potent, eclipsing 100 points in a season-opening win over Reedley and averaging over 80 points per game in their last three outings.

The Contra Costa Comets (5-2) have been nearly as hot, winning four of their last five games. They are riding a two-game winning streak, including an 87-75 road victory at Shasta on Saturday. Their two losses came in an 88-54 rout by Las Positas and an 88-81 overtime defeat to Feather River.

Tuesday’s contest pits Modesto’s high-powered offense against a Contra Costa team that has found its rhythm after a tough early loss. The game will be the final tune-up for both teams before a break in their schedules; neither is scheduled to play again until early December.
