COALINGA, Calif. (Interstat) — A surging San Mateo squad will look to continue its strong start to the season when the Bulldogs visit the Coalinga Falcons in a California men’s junior college basketball game on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025.

San Mateo enters the contest with a 5-1 overall record, having won five straight games since a season-opening loss. The Bulldogs are coming off a dominant 78-53 road victory over Gavilan on Thursday.

Coalinga, meanwhile, seeks to build momentum after snapping a four-game losing streak with a narrow 62-59 home win against Gavilan on Saturday. The Falcons hold a 2-4 overall record.

The matchup features a stark contrast in recent fortunes. San Mateo’s winning streak includes a 72-55 victory over Mendocino and a 70-61 overtime win against Cuesta. Coalinga’s struggles during its skid featured a 107-66 loss to Diablo Valley.

Despite the divergent records, a statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a tightly contested game, simulating a 100-100 final score.

Following this game, San Mateo will host Porterville on Dec. 2. Coalinga is scheduled to host Folsom Lake on Nov. 29.
