SAN MARCOS, Calif. (Interstat) — A compelling early-season men’s junior college basketball matchup is set for Tuesday as the West Los Angeles Wildcats visit the Palomar Comets.

Both teams enter the non-conference game with strong records. The Wildcats are 5-1, while the Comets sit at 4-1.

West Los Angeles is riding a three-game winning streak, most recently defeating Fullerton 92-86 on Nov. 19. The Wildcats were led in that victory by Jase Stewart, who posted 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Malachi Knight, who added 22 points and eight boards. Their only loss came on the road against Moorpark.

Palomar is coming off an impressive 83-67 road win over that same Moorpark team on Nov. 19. The Comets’ standout performer was Isaiah Pomare, who dominated with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Palomar’s sole defeat was a 90-76 loss at Mount San Jacinto.

The game will be a test for both squads before they break for the Thanksgiving holiday. Tipoff is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, at Palomar College.
