FREMONT, Calif. (Interstat) — A surging Ohlone College men’s basketball team will look to continue its dominant start to the season when it hosts a struggling Napa Valley College squad on Saturday.

The Renegades (5-1) have been formidable at home and are coming off a 103-55 rout of San Joaquin Delta on Wednesday. Their offense has been potent, scoring 93 or more points in three of their five victories. Ohlone’s lone loss came on the road against Merritt, 72-67, on Nov. 14.

The visiting Napa Valley Storm (2-4) seeks to halt a three-game skid. They are coming off a 77-72 home loss to Reedley on Monday. The Storm’s two wins this season came in their opening weekend against Folsom Lake and Monterey Peninsula, but they have since struggled, including an 83-57 loss to Las Positas on Nov. 13.

Despite the contrasting records, a statistical projection from Interstat anticipates a tightly contested matchup, simulating a 100-100 final score.

The California community college matchup will tip off at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Ohlone College.
