South Georgia Tech vs Brunswick

BRUNSWICK, Ga. (Interstat) — The Brunswick Dolphins will look to continue their strong early-season form when they host the struggling South Georgia Tech Jets in a men’s junior college basketball matchup on Saturday, Dec. 6.

Brunswick (2-1) enters with momentum after a dominant 100-80 home victory over Harford on Nov. 23. Their only loss came in overtime on the road against Daytona State on Nov. 8. The Dolphins have not played since their 20-point win nearly two weeks ago.

South Georgia Tech (3-8) seeks to halt a two-game skid, most recently a 79-66 road loss at Tallahassee State on Monday. The Jets’ season has been marked by inconsistency, though they showed promise during a brief two-game homestand win streak on Nov. 21-22.

A key player to watch is South Georgia Tech guard Jalexs Ewing. He has been a bright spot, averaging 21.2 points over his last five full games, including a 30-point performance in a win over Northeast Mississippi on Nov. 21. In Monday’s loss, Ewing led the Jets with 16 points and five rebounds in 28 minutes. His scoring prowess will be central to the Jets’ hopes for an upset.

For Brunswick, the extended rest could be an advantage, but avoiding rust will be critical. Their offense was firing against Harford, and they will aim to exploit a South Georgia Tech defense that has allowed an average of 77.5 points per game this season.

This contest represents a contrast in trajectories. Brunswick has a chance to solidify a winning record, while South Georgia Tech desperately needs a positive result before embarking on a tough road stretch that sees them play at Richard Bland the following day.

The Dolphins won both meetings last season, according to available records.

Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday at Brunswick’s home court.
