SAN FRANCISCO (Interstat) — An early-season California junior college men’s basketball showdown is set for Friday when the undefeated San Francisco Rams host the West Valley Vikings.

The Rams (6-0) enter the contest with a perfect record, coming off a dominant 79-48 road victory over San Bernardino Valley on Nov. 16. They have won their games by an average margin of 28 points.

The Vikings (4-1) have been nearly as impressive, with their only blemish a six-point road loss to Fullerton on Nov. 6. West Valley is riding a three-game winning streak, including a 79-67 victory at Fresno City on Nov. 14.

San Francisco’s high-powered offense, which scored 118 points against Redwoods on Nov. 7, will be tested by a West Valley defense that has held three of its five opponents under 70 points.

The matchup features two of the region’s top teams looking to build momentum before a break in their schedules. Both teams are next in action on Dec. 5, with San Francisco traveling to Santa Rosa and West Valley hosting Napa Valley.
