SAN DIEGO (Interstat) — Two men’s junior college basketball teams seeking to reach .500 will meet Friday when the Barstow Vikings face the San Diego City Knights in the Home Motors Tournament.

Both teams enter the non-conference matchup with identical 1-2 records. Barstow is coming off its first win of the season, a narrow 81-77 home victory over Bakersfield on Nov. 4. The Vikings’ two losses came by a combined 19 points.

San Diego City looks to rebound from a 68-55 road loss to West Valley on Nov. 7. The Knights’ lone win was a 90-88 triumph over East Los Angeles on Nov. 1.

The game is projected to be a high-scoring affair, with Interstat’s game simulator forecasting a 100-100 final score.

Following the tournament, both teams have a quick turnaround. Barstow travels to face Allan Hancock on Saturday, while San Diego City heads to San Jose.
