Cosumnes River vs Alameda
ALAMEDA, Calif. (Interstat) — The Cosumnes River Hawks, coming off a dominant 48-point victory, will travel to face the Alameda Cougars in a California community college men’s basketball matchup on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025.
The Hawks (3-2) are riding high after a 95-47 rout of Solano on Tuesday. Aaron Gillyard powered that win with a double-double, scoring 16 points and dishing 10 assists. Cosumnes River’s offense has been potent, averaging 87 points in their three wins, but they have shown vulnerability in close losses to Sequoias and Las Positas.
Alameda (2-3) looks to rebound on its home court after a 73-67 loss to Santa Rosa on Nov. 15. In that contest, Kot Majier Manyiel and Myles Moore each scored 13 points. The Cougars have struggled defensively, allowing an average of 78.6 points per game this season.
The matchup pits Cosumnes River’s high-scoring attack against an Alameda squad seeking consistency. The Hawks will rely on the backcourt play of Gillyard, while the Cougars will look to Moore and Majier Manyiel to provide a scoring punch.
Following this game, Cosumnes River visits Marin on Nov. 26. Alameda hosts Ohlone on the same date.
