SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (Interstat) — The Cypress Chargers and College of the Canyons Cougars, two men’s junior college basketball teams looking to build momentum, will face off on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025.

Cypress (1-1) enters the non-conference matchup after splitting its first two contests. The Chargers opened with a 77-65 road win against Pasadena City but fell 77-66 at Mount San Antonio last Saturday. In that loss, Michael Wright led all scorers with 23 points and added eight rebounds.

The Cougars (2-3) have faced a tougher early schedule, dropping three of their last four games. They are coming off a narrow 82-81 home loss to Chaffey. Jeremiah Williams, Dwayne Boston Jr. and Craig Irons all scored in double figures in the defeat, with Boston Jr. just missing a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Both teams will look to their top performers to secure a victory before a brief break for the Thanksgiving holiday. For Cypress, containing Canyons’ balanced scoring attack will be key, while the Cougars’ defense will need an answer for Wright’s offensive output.

The game tips off at Cougar Cage in Santa Clarita.
