EAST LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — The East Los Angeles Huskies outlasted the Compton Tartars 100-97 in a men’s junior college basketball game Friday night. The Huskies overcame a 50-point first quarter from Compton with a 55-point second-half performance to secure the victory.

Terrence Hampton led East Los Angeles with 21 points and nine rebounds, while Darrell Morris dished out 12 assists. Ley McGovern scored a game-high 27 points for the Tartars in the loss. The Huskies improved to 4-2, while Compton fell to 2-7.
