NORWALK, Calif. (Interstat) — The Cerritos Falcons, off to a strong 3-1 start, will host the Cypress Chargers in a California men’s junior college basketball matchup on Wednesday.

Cerritos enters the contest riding a three-game winning streak, most recently an 81-52 road victory over Los Angeles City on Nov. 12. In that game, Dorian Tate led the Falcons with 22 points and six rebounds, while Isaac Sowell controlled the paint with 11 rebounds and David Mack dished out five assists. All three starters played the full 40 minutes.

Cypress (1-1) looks to rebound from a 77-66 loss at Mount San Antonio this past Saturday. Despite the defeat, Michael Wright delivered a standout performance for the Chargers, scoring 23 points and grabbing eight rebounds.

The Falcons’ lone loss was a narrow 85-84 defeat at Chaffey on Oct. 31. Cypress opened its season with a 77-65 win at Pasadena City on Nov. 13.

Tip-off is set for Wednesday night at Cerritos College.
