OTTUMWA, Iowa (Interstat) — Two teams seeking their first win of the season will meet Friday when the Marshalltown Tigers face the North Dakota St Science Wildcats in the Norris Asphalt Classic men’s junior college basketball tournament.

Both teams enter the 4 p.m. contest at 0-1 overall. Marshalltown is coming off a 64-56 road loss to Sauk Valley on Nov. 25, in which Antoine Glasper scored 16 points. North Dakota St Science opened its season with a 74-68 loss at Williston State on Oct. 31.

The Wildcats’ backcourt duo of Nidas Paulauskas and Cham Okey combined for 40 points in that defeat. Paulauskas added 12 rebounds for a double-double.

For Marshalltown, Glasper’s scoring and Chason St. Vil’s nine points and eight rebounds provided highlights in their opener.

The game is part of a multi-team event. Marshalltown will play Lake Region State the following day, while North Dakota St Science is scheduled to face Indian Hills on Saturday.
