KANKAKEE, Ill. (Interstat) — The Kankakee Cavaliers host the Richard J Daley Bulldogs in a men’s junior college basketball game on Thursday, Dec. 4, as both teams seek to steady their early-season form.

The visiting Bulldogs (0-7) are still in search of their first win. They are coming off a 71-56 road loss to Malcolm X on Nov. 25. Rashad Fenner (13 points, 6 rebounds), Adrien Armstrong (15 points) and Nashawn Holmes (18 points) were the top performers in that defeat. Richard J Daley’s season has been marked by narrow setbacks, including a 72-69 overtime loss to Southeastern on Nov. 15.

The Cavaliers (1-2) opened their season with a 78-61 home win over Olney Central on Nov. 15 but have since dropped two straight on the road, most recently a 93-69 defeat to John A Logan on Nov. 25.

This contest begins a key stretch for both teams. Kankakee will travel to face Southeastern on Saturday. Richard J Daley’s next home game is Dec. 11 against Harry S Truman. The teams will meet again in Chicago on Jan. 20.
