PERRINGTON, Miss. (Interstat) — The Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs, off to a strong 5-1 start, will host the struggling Delgado Dolphins in a men’s junior college basketball game on Thursday.

The Bulldogs enter on a four-game winning streak, most recently outscoring Coastal Alabama 109-102 on Nov. 21. Their only loss came on the road against Pensacola State (72-50) on Nov. 1.

Delgado (2-3) looks to rebound from a 77-59 home loss to Holmes on Nov. 20. In that game, forward Amir Rios posted a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds. The Dolphins’ season has been inconsistent, with wins over Meridian and Copiah-Lincoln offset by double-digit losses to Hinds and Holmes.

Thursday’s contest will be the first of two regular-season meetings between the teams. They are scheduled to play again at Delgado on Jan. 6, 2026.

Following this game, Gulf Coast visits Jones College on Dec. 8. Delgado’s next game is at Hinds on Dec. 8.
