Calhoun vs Northwest Mississippi

(Interstat) — Two teams seeking consistency will meet Thursday when the Calhoun Warhawks visit the Northwest Mississippi Tigers in a men’s junior college basketball game.

Calhoun (1-2) last played on Nov. 25, falling 88-82 at Motlow State. Tahir Bond, Jeremiah Police and Jackson Porch were the most productive players for the Warhawks in that loss. Their lone win came at home against Pellissippi State, 93-89, on Nov. 22.

Northwest Mississippi (2-2) enters after a 10-day break following a 100-75 home loss to Bishop State on Nov. 21. The Tigers’ two victories came in high-scoring affairs: a 108-96 win over Dyersburg State and a 113-110 road victory at Coastal Alabama.

The game is the first of two in a four-day stretch for Calhoun, which hosts Motlow State on Monday. Northwest Mississippi remains at home to face Mississippi Delta on Saturday.
