OLIVE-HARVEY COLLEGE, Ill. (Interstat) — The unbeaten Olive-Harvey Panthers will host the .500 Highland (Ill.) Cougars in a men’s junior college basketball matchup on Wednesday.

Olive-Harvey (4-0) has opened its season with four consecutive victories, though its last two were narrow. The Panthers edged Sauk Valley 77-72 on Nov. 15 and Southeastern 79-77 on Nov. 14. Their offense has consistently scored in high volumes, topping 100 points twice.

Highland (4-4) seeks consistency after splitting its last four games. The Cougars are coming off a 62-57 loss at Moberly Area on Saturday, despite a triple-double from Chin Hanson, who posted 13 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. Kevin Merlus added 11 points in the defeat.

The teams’ profiles present a stark contrast: Olive-Harvey’s perfect start against Highland’s even record. They will meet again in Illinois on Jan. 17.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 100-100 draw, yet its ELO rating system gives Olive-Harvey a 70 percent probability to win.
