Chattanooga State vs Walters State

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (Interstat) — Two of junior college basketball’s remaining undefeated teams will meet Wednesday when the Walters State Senators host the Chattanooga State Tigers in a non-conference men’s game.

Tipoff is set for Wednesday, Dec. 3, at ‘Z’ Buda Gymnasium.

Walters State (6-0) has dominated its early schedule, winning each game by at least 19 points and averaging 108 points per contest at home. The Senators are coming off a 99-63 rout of Georgia Highlands on Nov. 26, led by Taquez Butler’s 23 points.

Chattanooga State (3-0) has also started strong, most recently earning an 86-78 road win at Southwest Tennessee on Nov. 22. Odell Bradley IV scored 24 points in that victory, while Nicholas Long added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The matchup features contrasting styles: Walters State’s explosive offense against a Chattanooga State team that has shown balance and resilience in tighter games. A statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a high-scoring draw, simulating a 100-100 final.

Both teams enter with momentum, but Walters State’s home-court advantage and overwhelming early-season performances make them a formidable challenge for the visiting Tigers.
