KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Interstat) — The Roane State Raiders, riding a three-game winning streak, will visit the struggling Pellissippi State Panthers in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday.

Roane State (5-3) has found its rhythm after a 1-3 start, most recently earning a 77-69 road victory at Georgia Highlands on Nov. 25. The Raiders’ surge includes wins over Dyersburg State and Motlow State.

Pellissippi State (1-8) seeks to halt a seven-game skid. The Panthers fell 85-81 to Gaston at home last Sunday, their fourth consecutive loss by 12 points or fewer. Their lone win came in overtime at Dyersburg State on Nov. 8.

The Raiders have shown balanced scoring during their streak, while the Panthers have struggled defensively, allowing an average of 97 points over their last three contests.

This is the first of two regular-season meetings between the teams. They will play again at Roane State on Feb. 11.
