CUMBERLAND, Md. (Interstat) — Two men’s junior college basketball teams seeking to halt slides will meet Wednesday when the Harford Fighting Owls visit the Allegany (Md.) Trojans.

Harford (1-5) enters on a five-game losing streak following an 88-54 season-opening win over Richard Bland on Nov. 6. The Fighting Owls are coming off a 114-88 road loss to Caldwell Tech this past Sunday.

Allegany (Md.) (1-2) has dropped two straight since a season-opening 88-77 home win over Dawson on Nov. 15. The Trojans fell 91-82 at home to Monroe on Sunday. In that loss, Dorrell Little scored 24 points with nine rebounds, Jaylen Brown added 16 points and seven assists, and Alex Byrd contributed 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks.

The matchup is the first of a home-and-home series between the teams, who will meet again at Harford on Jan. 7.

Tipoff is set for Wednesday night.
