SAN JACINTO, Calif. (Interstat) — Two of California’s undefeated men’s junior college basketball teams will put their perfect records on the line Saturday when the Mount San Jacinto Eagles host the Palomar Comets.

The Eagles (4-0) enter the contest with momentum after a 92-75 road victory over MiraCosta on Wednesday. Their high-powered offense has consistently surpassed the 90-point mark this season.

The visiting Comets (3-0) are also coming off a strong offensive performance, having defeated Victor Valley 96-82 in their last outing on Nov. 4. Palomar’s early season success includes a narrow 78-77 road win over Copper Mountain.

Saturday’s matchup features two teams that have demonstrated potent scoring abilities early in the season. Mount San Jacinto’s schedule has included decisive home victories, while Palomar has proven it can win close games on the road.

The outcome will hand one team its first loss of the season while the other will maintain an unblemished record. Following this game, Mount San Jacinto will host Irvine Valley on Nov. 19, while Palomar travels to face Moorpark on the same date.
