SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Interstat) — The Siskiyous Eagles and American River Beavers will meet for the second time in a week in a California men’s junior college basketball matchup Friday at the ARC Classic.

Siskiyous (1-2) earned a 73-61 victory over American River (1-4) just six days prior on the Beavers’ home court. The Eagles’ win on Nov. 8 stands as their only victory of the young season, following losses to Columbia and Los Medanos.

American River seeks to halt a four-game losing streak that began after a season-opening win over Gavilan. The Beavers’ recent skid includes the loss to Siskiyous and subsequent defeats to Butte and Contra Costa.

Statistical projections from Interstat’s ELO system give Siskiyous a slight edge, forecasting the Eagles with a 54.30 percent probability to win the rematch.

Both teams continue tournament play next week, with Siskiyous hosting Los Medanos on Nov. 20 and American River traveling to face Foothill.
