MIDLAND, Texas (Interstat) — The undefeated Midland College Chaparrals will put their perfect record on the line Monday when they host the Weatherford College Coyotes in a men’s junior college basketball matchup.

Midland (9-0) has been dominant to start the season, most recently defeating Grayson 78-58 on Friday. The Chaparrals’ high-powered offense has consistently produced, scoring 86 points or more in five of their nine victories.

Weatherford (2-5) is looking to build momentum from its last outing, an 82-70 road win against Western Texas on Nov. 18. Kyan Landveld led the Coyotes with 20 points in that victory, supported by Josiah Coleman’s 13 points and four assists and Bol Dhieu’s 10 points and five rebounds.

The two teams met earlier this season on Nov. 4, with Midland securing an 86-77 road win over Weatherford. The Coyotes will be seeking to avenge that loss and hand the Chaparrals their first defeat of the season.

The game is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 1, 2025.
