MARYSVILLE, Calif. (Interstat) — The Feather River Golden Eagles look to rebound from their first loss of the season when they visit the Yuba 49ers in a men’s junior college basketball matchup on Thursday.

Feather River (3-1) started the season with three consecutive wins before falling 75-64 at San Jose this past Saturday. The Golden Eagles had previously shown a potent offense, scoring 84 points in a road win against Palo Verde.

The Yuba 49ers (2-1) are also coming off a road loss, dropping a 74-67 contest at Fullerton on Friday. In that game, Austin Ito led the 49ers with 15 points. Yuba’s season includes a high-scoring 102-85 victory at Sacramento City.

The game, organized by the California Community College Athletic Association, will be the final non-conference tune-up for both teams before their schedules intensify. Feather River will travel to face Columbia on Saturday, while Yuba’s next contest is at home against Sierra on Nov. 22.
