GILROY, Calif. (Interstat) — Two California men’s junior college basketball teams seeking their first win in nearly two weeks will meet Thursday when the Reedley Tigers visit the Gavilan Rams.

Both teams enter the non-conference matchup on losing streaks. Reedley (1-3) has dropped three straight, including a heartbreaking 93-92 double-overtime loss at Bakersfield on Saturday. The Tigers were led in that game by CJ Kornegay Jr., who scored 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds, and Nassef Lubowa, who added 19 points and nine rebounds.

Gavilan (0-4) is also looking to rebound from a narrow defeat, having fallen 68-63 at Merced on Saturday. The Rams’ offense has been paced by Trey Miller (18 points) and Uriah Brown (13 points, 6 assists) in their recent outings.

The game will be a test of which struggling team can capitalize on a chance to reset its season. Reedley’s lone victory came in its season opener against Antelope Valley on Oct. 31, while the Rams are still in search of their first win.

Tipoff is set for Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025.
