SALINAS, Calif. (Interstat) — Two California men’s junior college basketball teams seeking momentum will meet Wednesday when the Canada Colts visit the Hartnell Panthers.

Both teams enter the non-conference matchup with losing records. The Colts are 1-2, while the Panthers are still searching for their first win at 0-3.

Canada is coming off its best performance of the young season, a 95-83 home victory over San Joaquin Delta last Friday. That win snapped a two-game skid that included an 85-78 loss to Diablo Valley and an 85-81 overtime defeat at Merritt.

Hartnell, meanwhile, looks to bounce back from a 73-70 road loss to Marin on Friday. The Panthers’ season began with a 93-69 loss to Allan Hancock and a 77-69 loss to Coalinga.

The game will be Hartnell’s final home contest before a two-game homestand against De Anza and Las Positas later in November. Canada’s next game is a Friday home matchup against Monterey Peninsula.
