CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Interstat) — The Laramie County Golden Eagles will look to capitalize on a favorable matchup when they host the winless Otero Rattlers in a men’s junior college basketball game Saturday.

The game tips off at 4 p.m. at Laramie County Community College.

Laramie County (2-5) is coming off a 79-63 home loss to Southern Idaho on Nov. 22. Karim Elgizawy led the Golden Eagles with 19 points and four rebounds in that contest, while Isaac Fiagbe added 13 points and six rebounds.

Otero (0-8) seeks its first win of the season after an 86-72 road loss to Frank Phillips College on Nov. 21. Bertran Walthour Jr. scored 18 points for the Rattlers in the defeat. Otero’s struggles have been pronounced, with their last five losses all coming by double digits.

Despite the teams’ records, Interstat’s game simulator projects a high-scoring affair with a final score of Laramie County 100, Otero 100.

The game is the first of two regular-season meetings between the Region IX foes. They are scheduled to play again at Otero on Jan. 10, 2026.
