Howard (Tex.) vs Grayson

DENISON, Texas (Interstat) — The Howard (Tex.) Hawks look to rebound from their first loss in nearly a month when they visit the struggling Grayson Vikings in a men’s junior college basketball matchup on Saturday.

Howard (5-2) saw a four-game winning streak snapped in an 82-66 road loss to Lamar last Saturday. Gavin Dabney led the Hawks in that contest with 18 points and five rebounds, while RJ Foreman added 16 points and five boards.

The Hawks’ recent success, which included a 78-58 win over Navarro and a 73-65 victory against Lee, contrasts sharply with the Vikings’ season. Grayson (2-8) is mired in a three-game skid, most recently falling 78-58 to Midland at home on Friday.

Despite the divergent records, a statistical projection from Interstat anticipates a tightly contested game, simulating a 100-100 final score.

Howard will aim for a return to its winning form before a three-game homestand in early December. Grayson seeks to halt its losing streak before hitting the road for a pair of games in Oklahoma next week.
