CASPER, Wyo. (Interstat) — The Dawson Buccaneers and Western Wyoming Mustangs will meet Saturday at the Casper Thanksgiving Classic in a men’s junior college basketball matchup featuring teams on opposite trajectories.

Dawson (5-2) enters the contest with momentum, coming off a 93-75 home victory over Gillette last Saturday. The Buccaneers’ offense was powered by Brandon Hymes, who scored 23 points with six rebounds, and Adesoye Onaleye, who poured in a game-high 28 points in just 19 minutes of play.

In contrast, Western Wyoming (1-5) looks to snap a four-game losing streak. The Mustangs fell 77-71 to Williston State at home last Friday, despite a 21-point effort from Sean Pendleton. Their lone win this season came against Utah State Eastern on Nov. 1.

Despite the disparity in records, a statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a tightly contested game, simulating a 100-100 final score.

The game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025.
