Odessa vs Hill
PLANO, Texas (Interstat) — A surging Odessa College team will look to extend its winning streak when it faces a struggling Hill College in the Collin College Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday.
The Odessa Wranglers (8-1) enter the men’s junior college basketball contest on a seven-game tear, having dominated their recent opponents. They are coming off an 88-56 rout of Blinn last Saturday, a game in which Ziyade Ndancky recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Ahmere Carson dished out 10 assists.
Conversely, the Hill Rebels (0-2) are searching for their first win of the season. They fell 73-50 to Lee College in their last outing on Nov. 19. Hamzah Abdullahi led Hill with 15 points and six rebounds in that loss.
The statistical service Interstat gives Odessa a 65.3% probability of winning the game, reflecting the stark contrast in the teams’ early-season form. The matchup pits one of the nation’s hottest junior college teams against a Rebels squad hoping to find its footing.
